Adoption

In Ryan's words:

Since 2006, Dylan has been joining my daily routine and becoming an integral part of my life. I have slowly made my way into coaching little league baseball as he has really jumped into the life of fishing, hunting, driving trucks, boats, and enjoying the outdoors.

Although he has been a part of the family for a long time - We have finally taken the step to officially give Dylan the Kessler name so He can truely feel he is a part of our Family. Oma (aka JoAna Kessler ) and Mimi (aka Sherri Westerbeck) were both major influences that helped to make July 7, 2010 Dylans official move into the Kessler Family. Me, Dylan, Kristi, Addison and Brody were pleased to have Oma come with us to the court house for Judge Martha Tanner to make the final ruling. Despite the lack of of a Gavel (oops on the judge part), at about 1:45 PM, the adoption was final and Dylan now officially carries the Kessler name.

Now that it's official I can finally put him to work ;) ... Just kidding, kind of.

It was an exciting day for everyone and really really exciting for the big people. Oma treated all of us to a great lunch afterward before we all had to head back to our normal routines.

Mimi had to be in Colorado this week, so we really missed having her for the occasion - but we were all thinking of her the whole time.

Waiting outside the courtroom for the official paperwork!

  1. Congratulations! My older brother is hoping to adopt his step-son, I can appreciate how big of a deal it is to make it all official.
