Our trip to Colorado started out great. Kids were great, roads were clear. We made it to Dumas, TX our first night and found a hotel to sleep at. The next morning, we had some breakfast at McD's and I noticed my cell phone was missing. SO.. we went back to the hotel to look for it. Luckily it was in my suitcase (with us the whole time), so then we were off again. Its funny how a 15 minute deviation could of very much saved us from the horrible accident we saw a little later on the highway. Or as Ryan put it "we could of been ahead of the accident!". Both lanes of the highway were stopped as Airlife came in. Very sad for the families that were involved in the 4 car crash. We camped out along with everyone else for at least an hour till a lane was clear to go by. Dylan and Brody got to experience walking on a highway and catching grasshoppers that were everywhere!

i've had the same experience on a trip...watching LifeFlight land in the middle of I-95 was something I won't soon forget.
