Dove Hunting

Last night kicked off the start of dove hunting.  It was also an Addison night so we got to the field a little late.  Addison and Brody played inside the house with Oma while Dylan, Ryan and I found our spots in the pasture.  There were not a lot of doves, but we were very impressed when Dylan stood up and got his very first dove on his own!  He was so excited! It fell right in front of us and Rica (our lab) ran out to get it.  I got one too and that was about it.  Not many doves!

 I am not a big fan of dove hunting, but this year I got a couple things to make me like it a little better.  I had some good electronic ear muffs (the nice ones where you can actually hear everyone talking around you), and a special pad to put near my chest so I didn't get any bruising.  Both worked great! 

We are looking forward to Dylan's cousins Jared and Eric whom are coming into town this weekend for some dove action.
