We had a great weekend with Addison and celebrating her 4th birthday! Her birthday started out very early with Dylan's baseball game at 830am. Then we returned home, got ready, and headed to Chuck E Cheese. She has told us for quite awhile that is where she wanted her party.
Another request she has talked LOTS about is wanting an orange cake with REAL orange flowers. After looking into this, I found out it can be toxic to put real flowers into a cake and if you do, make sure the flowers don't touch the cake or frosting at all. So I tried to convince her of orange flowers we could eat out of icing, but she didn't go for that. Then I thought of making a bundt cake and putting the flowers in the middle with a plastic cup. It was super easy and it worked out great. She just loved her cake with the real flowers.
Her last request was wanting an orange shotgun (yes.. coming from a 4 year old). So daddy, bought her a BB gun (we called her shotgun) and spray painted it orange. We love the picture of her holding the BB gun while wearing her fairy dress.
Then on Sunday we spent the day at Sea World as it was the first weekend of Halloscream. We toured the Haunted Forest and saw lots of skeletons. Of course we saw the sea lions, penguins, dolphins, sharks, etc too!
