I think Landon has been sick for over a month now! Poor little guy can't catch a break! He had his 2nd ear infection over Christmas in his left ear. Just as we were about done with that medicine, he spiked a fever up to 103.6! After taking him in to the urgent care, we were told he now has RSV. They had been testing him for this several time in the past few weeks but it was always negative. Even though he had the tell tale cough of it.
It took from Saturday to Tuesday for the fever to finally break. Wednesday and Thursday night he woke up in the middle of the night crying. This is abnormal for him as he has been sleeping thru the night since he was 2 months old. The only other time he woke up crying was at the start of his previous ear infection.
Gut instinct told me to take him in on Friday. I was also worried about his breathing and how it sounded like he was trying to catch his breath all the time. SO... now he has been diagnosed with Croup caused by RSV AND has another ear infection, though this time in his right ear. So he is on his 3rd antibiotic and a steroid treatment. Hoping and praying he is 100% better soon!
