It has been a toss up for what Brody's first word is. We can't officially say what was first. We have been waiting for him to say the word while looking at the person/object. He has been saying a long ramble of mamamama, and dadadada for quite some time but never at either one of us.
This past week, he started to say ZoZo at our dog Zoe. He also said "mama" to me when Ryan got him out of his crib the other morning and put him next to me in bed. Then last night, as Ryan came down the stairs, Brody looked right at him and said "dada" and crawled up to him! So yay.. he finally is calling us by name and its the sweetest sound ever!
