It didn't get dark till a little after 7pm. We headed out for our trek around the big block. Our first stop was our neighbor Ms. Mrytle. Brody walked right into her house!! By the time Brody got to his 3rd house, he was grabbing the candy from the peoples bucket and putting it in his. He didn't last long though. Daddy gave him his first sucker and he was done with trick or treating.
Dylan lasted about 4 houses. He just wanted to pass out candy. He doesn't really like candy. So he headed back to the house to hand out candy with Oma.
Addison lasted the WHOLE block. She was having a blast. She did excellent with saying "trick or treat" when she got to the door. Though saying "thank you" was a little harder, she finally started saying that regularly too after some encouragement!
Costumes:
Dylan was going to be Special Ops. I asked him several times to try on his costume. He never did till the night before in which it was WAY to small. So I told him I wasn't getting him a new one and to figure something out on his own. SO.. he decided to be what his closet is filled with.. a baseball player.
Addison chose to be a Ballerina. A friend of ours is a dancer and she brought Addison a few dance recital outfits to chose from. Addison's favorite color is orange so of course the orange tutu outfit caught her eye. She just LOVES this outfit and has worn it several times "just because" when she is at our house. I managed to get her hair in a bun and put some makeup on her. It was fun dressing up a girl!
Brody was a little builder. He had built in tools on his outfit so he couldn't hurt anyone. ha.
