Landa Park

We headed up to Landa Park for a picnic and some hiking.  The picnic didn't turn out all that great.  The food though was great thanks to Ryan pre-cooking hamburgers and hotdogs at home.  There were more complaints of "the sun is in my eyes", "there are too many bee's", "I'm not hungry", "I have to go pee", etc.  Next time, we'll try a picnic in the fall when its nice and in the 60's!

We did have fun though on our hike.  Dylan was talking to be about GeoCaching.  So I pulled up an app on my phone (I chose the free app) and found out there was one just 0.15 miles from us.  So we took off and followed the map on my phone.  It was so cool.  I was take two steps forward and my distance would change a yard so we would know if we need to turn around or go left/right.  It took us way off the trail and up the hill thru lots of brush and cactus.  We found it though!

Inside the canister was a bunch of little things.  When you go GeoCaching you take something out of the container and leave something new..  There also is usually a notebook and pen to sign your name, the date, where you are from ,etc.  Dylan took out a little army man.  We didn't have anything to put back in it but we did find some deer teeth on the way up so we put those in there! ha!!

Then we hiked back down and the kids played around in the wading pool for awhile.  It was a fun day!
